Dr. Rohini Singh is a veteran educator, with a variety of experiences and expertise. Prior to joining the college, she spent eight years in industry and two years as a consultant.
Her industry experience has been in the Budget and Cost Control and Finance departments at Ballarpur Industries (Thapar group), Twiga Fiberglass Ltd., and Bongaigaon Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. Training and Consulting services were provided to Twenty First Century Electronics and ERG Electronics, Anand Consultants and Industrial Management Consultancy Organisation.
She started teaching at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies in November 1991 and has taught numerous papers taught over these years including Corporate Analysis and Valuation, Strategic Corporate Finance, Capital Markets and Security Analysis, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Business Research, SPSS, Quantitative Techniques for Management, Production and Operations Management, Micro Economics, Corporate Accounting and Cost and Management Accounting. She also guides students in their research projects and encourages publishable research work; some students have published in peer refereed journals which is a great achievement and encouragement for them.
She has served on numerous administrative assignments in college such as first teacher coordinator for the National Stock Exchange course NCCMP conducted at SSCBS, coordinator of first syllabus revision for BBS, and member subsequent syllabus revisions for BMS and BBA(FIA) and was Nodal Officer for first time submission of data for NIRF .
Her paper "Application of Technology in Teaching Finance" was warded Best Written Paper at the Conference on Best Teaching Practices using ICET, organised by Centre for Research on Cognitive Systems, NIIT Institute of Information Technology. Two University of Delhi Innovation Projects were
undertaken by her; Health Insurance Scheme for Domestic Workers- Public Private Partnership was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for Best Innovative Idea.
