What We Do

We are a group of strong minded individuals who believe in the motto ‘we rise by lifting others’. We strive to work towards building a better society by making efforts to uplift the underprivileged sections of the society.

Key Achievements in 2019-20

  • Project Kilkari
    This project is aimed at developing life skills, inculcating values and adding fun to the lives of underprivileged orphan children. A host of sports activities, learning sessions, fun games, art competitions, dancing and singing sessions are organised by the team members.
  •  National Service Scheme activities
  • Being the NSS unit of our college, Kartavya is the torch bearer for all official NSS activities undertaken throughout the year. The volunteer-driven activities engages the youth from all around the country, with the aim of personality development and engagement through community service.
  •  Donation Drives
    During the year 2019-20, Kartavya organised several successful donation drives for the flood affected victims of Assam and a book donation drive for the underprivileged children in need of quality reading material.
  •  Ready to Reuse campaign
    Encouraging active reuse of waste paper, flex material, etc within the college premises, our Ready to Reuse campaign set in action a mechanism for reusable material being otherwise wasted in the college premises.

Key Events in 2019-20

  • VITI’19 – Annual Diwali Mela

Viti is an amalgam of fun filled games, delightful food and exhilarating performance by singers, magicians, stand up comedians and young NGO children. Viti, organised by Kartavya, acts as a focal point for spreading social awareness in a festive and engaging manner.

  • VIVANTÉ’20- Annual Philanthropic Fest

VIVANTÉ is all about encouraging a ripple effect of positivity and good health among the college students and faculty members. Under Vivante, a blood donation camp, health check-up facility, stalls by social organizations are set up. Vivante’20 witnessed a sponsored charity football game and a social case study competition.

  • Plantation Drive

A plantation drive was organised in association with WHO and Indian Road Safety Campaign Solve on the occasion of United Nations World Day of Remembrance in the memory of the lives lost in road crashes.

Upcoming Events in 2020-21

  • Project on Waste Management:

We would be spreading awareness regarding  environmental degradation and solid waste management. A research intensive project with appropriate waste segregation and disposal measures and we’ll be organising knowledge sessions regarding the same.

  • Project on Disaster Management

Under this project, the team will analyse the college premises and nearby areas for their disaster preparedness and conduct workshops on first aid and disaster preparedness in NGOs, slums and various institutions
