What We Do

Verve- The Street Play Society of SSCBS, established in 2006, aims to create awareness among people on various social issues through Street theatre.<br>
We are a team of 30 creative students. We hold Research meetings, team discussions, discussion with general people for the selection of a social topic for the street production. This art form gives you the chance to embrace yourself, to explore new things and let you become the best version of yourself in this competitive world. We perform in various Delhi based competitions and some outstation competitions like IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay. And Verve has never restricted itself to the college based competition but also perform at public places throughout the year.

Key Achievements in 2019-20

  1. Performed in finals of Antaragni, IIT Kanpur.
  2. 1st Position- Synergy, SGT University- 12th October, 2019.
  3. 3rd Position- Delhi Metropolitan education- 31st January,2020.
  4. 1st Position- Aravali college of engineering and management – 8th February, 2020.
  5. 1st Position- Benette University – 15th February, 2020.
  6. 2nd Position- Noida Rang Mahotsav – 17th February, 2020.
  7. 2nd Position- PGDAV (Evening), University of Delhi – 26th February, 2020.
  8. 3rd Position- Performed for Environmental club of Satyawati College (Evening), University of Delhi- 28th February, 2020.
  9. 2nd Position- Motilal Nehru College (Evening)- 2nd March, 2020.
  10. 1st Position- Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, University of Delhi- 3rd March, 2020.

Key Events in 2019-20

We organise Manthan РIndia’s largest Street theatre festival, a platform where aspiring artist all across the globe showcase their art to remonstrate the issues of modern society, the burning topics related to politics, injustice and social causes.

In the previous years Manthan has left a mark in 13 countries including India. Performances were conducted in 62 cities, covering about 25 States of India.

In the Capital city, Delhi, every year public performances are being conducted at locations such as Red fort, Humayun’s tomb, Jama masjid, Qutub Minar, Chawri Bazaar, etc. where Manthan observe a direct viewership of 5,00,000 people.
